Hello! Thank you for taking a moment to explore my website and learning a bit about me.
I believe Pilates can empower you to take charge of your health and well being. I have been a serious student of Pilates for over 30 years and I still love this work--its richness, its history, its scope of influence, and its ability to adapt to anyone and everyone.
I have been teaching Pilates for 25 years. My clients range in age from 34-74. They are dancers and desk workers, lawyers and artists, scientists and scholars, moms and dads, Pilates teachers and retirees. They all benefit from their Pilates. I love my job!
I believe it is important to celebrate our unique ways of moving, learning, and being. I hope to provide Pilates sessions that are collaborative. Let’s agree that you are the expert of your lived experience and physicality and I am here to guide you through the complete Pilates method, suggest movement patterns that may serve you, reveal unknown movement possibilities, and motivate you to take charge of your well being.
In addition to teaching private clients in my quaint Pilates studio, I have taught workshops at hosting Pilates studios, fitness facilities, and dance schools. I have taught lunchtime Pilates classes at an architecture firm, a newspaper, a personal finance outfit, and a Fortune 500 company. I have taught at Minnesota Dance Theatre, Zenon Dance School, the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, SmartBody Pilates in Amsterdam, Align Pilates, and Six Degrees Pilates in Minneapolis. I was the Pilates Method Alliance registered director of the Align Teacher Training Program and I continue to instruct future and current Pilates instructors through mentorships.
I was Pilates Method Alliance certified (PMA-CPT) for a number of years.
I am also a dancer and have a BA in dance from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
